Preschool Program
Rainbow offers a preschool program for infants through five years of age. The preschool incorporates Christian principles with the development of cognitive, social, physical and emotional development for each age. Daily activities include story time, learning centers, art activities, music and movement, and special theme-based activities. Each week the children attend chapel time, sometimes with the FUMC pastor.
Preschool hours are are available for all children from 6:45 AM until 6 PM. Each class maintains a very low student/teacher ratio designed to gain maximum instruction time that fosters new learning experiences and engaging activities. The three-year-old class and the PK 4-year class uses 8:30-3:30 as instruction time for the Texas School Ready curriculum. Rainbow Connection is also a Texas Rising Star Facility.
After-School Program
The after-school program at Rainbow is designed to provide school-aged children (4 -12 yrs) with a fun, safe environment after school hours. The Rainbow bus is available to pick children up at the MV Elementary School and the MV Middle School at 3 PM. Students are served a snack and provided the opportunity to work on homework assignments, play outside or in the gym, and participate in fun games and activities.
